What Does a Realtor Do with a Day Off!
This is the first Saturday in a long time I have not had appointments to show homes. It is a shock and I almost feel guilty for having nothing to do.
Not to worry, my wife and I packed the kids up and off we went to the Chabot Science and Space Museum in Oakland CA. My wife had some coupons to get some of the kids in Free that they had earned in a summer reading program and some other coupons that got some kids in free with an adult ticket. It normally would have run us and the 5 boys about $75.00 to get in; she kept it down to $30.00 (making me happy)!
Trips start off like normal the two year old stuck banana in his hair on the way over and my boys talked to each other and treated each other with all the dignity and respect you might expect of five boys 13 to 2. But what the heck there my kids and I love them.
There were a lot of cool exhibits about space, space exploration, and the nine planets. We saw a 360 Degree movie about 2 kids making a space ship and flying to all the planets in the Solar System and learning about them.
There was a Discovery Play area for the kids and a number of Telescopes to see.
My Favorite part was the mock up Mercury Capsule and old Soviet Soyuz Capsule to take a look in. It was a great day for the kids. I would reccomend it to any one in the area.
