Antioch California Home Prices continue to soar and confirm what I have felt about Antioch's gentrification. Antioch was hit hard by the housing slump, but is now turning into a high demand community. There are a number of reasons for this, but basically Antioch has always been a great community with a great basic infrastructure; lots of nice parks, newer homes, newer schools, revitalized downtown, excellent freeway access. The widening of Highway 4 and the new E-Bart Extension help make Antioch a Great Place to live.

Antioch Home Prices
continue an upward trend. Prices are up about 14% over last year. What I find interesting is the average asking price per SF is now less than the actual PPSF for sales so far this quarter. Inventory is at less than 60 days. This is a hot sellers market. Compare this to Brentwood Price Increases over the same period; both markets are hot, but Antioch is on fire and continues to head up. This is of course due to quality affordable homes in Antioch that offer great future appreciation.

Right now many investors who bought rental properties in Antioch are now selling off their investments and taking their profits. This means many fine homes are going onto the market and Antioch is once again becoming a community of Home Owners.
